Going home at 1 a m. A 15 min walk in the dark along narrow paths above the sea, then climbing in Bella Bijela 2 up twisting roads, threading the stone alleys and hairpin turns of Lozisce and Bobovisca, up past the hill of St. Martin, then the long coasting glide back down to the sea and Milna. My usual parking space was waiting.
A long evening of food (cuttlefish, mussels, roasted lamb, salads, fruit and chocolate cake), musicmusicmusic, lots of people and homemade plavacs red wine in an unfinished mansion above a quiet, hidden cove of aqua blue.
