Fish and spinach at Slavko and Nada's on this national holiday. (Slavko says there have been 3 different indepence days in his life -- "how can that be?" he asks -- so it doesnt matter to him.) Talk of haiku, history, petro dollars, plants flowers seeds, local matters. Afterwards a solitary walk through the village to this abandoned cinema, still putting on a good show.
