Happy birthday to you!
Yay!
Jason guarding the Argos
Julia and I spied this little guy on a walk in the rain down the La Conner boardwalk yesterday. Kinda a "Thou shall not pass" attitude? We carefully skirted that area and left the Argos moored nearby alone.
A nice boat
John Wolden has just finished a sweet 16 foot flat bottomed boat to be used in Alaska. The flat bottom allows easy beaching.

Last night, Julia and Eason and I marched in the Luminary parade in Mount Vernon. We walked along the waterfront with about 200 other luminary enthusiasts! Julia had spent a couple of weeks off-and-on constructing her DOVE luminary, while Eason and I slipped in at the last minute with our decorated paper bag versions. After we brought light to the winter darkness, we had a nice free hot chocolate and hot cider to warm up.

Denise Has Gone
Julia's younger sister, Denise, died Saturday night, January 23 after a 16-month long fight against cancer. Julia was alone with her when she passed. Her friends and family have left wonderful messages and testimonials on her CaringBridge site:
