In Memory of Dana Rust

Last week Julia and I attended a memorial for our friend, Dana Rust.  It was held in his art gallery/home in Edison, Washington.  Lots of family, lots and lots of friends.  Moving testimonials and celebrations of his crazy zen life (English teacher, sportswriter, worm farmer, fishing captain, art impresario, gambler), poems, dance and a grand daughter playing the violin.  Oh, and afterward yummy salmon, food and wine was served, just like Dana used to do at his art openings.  All the while a banner flew animatedly above the gallery.

Dear Julia and John ,

thank you so much for lovely presents which you sent in March , but we received it just yesterday . So me and Amina  dreesed our litle boys in American clothes and made some photos , which are attached. On photos with boys is Amina's mother Ćazima. Also one photo is joke with old Tito's pioneer uniform with Ermin. . .

P.S. For Eliot news about allergy , for me a extra strong menthol hard sweet are doing well for my sinusitis and lungs.

Looking for Crabs on Samish Island

Eason is intently turning over stones and finding "131!" crabs under each.  He guessed there must be a million on the beach as a whole.

Here's something to look forward to . . .  I went out and splurged on a 160 s.f. tent, a full and a queen inflatable mattress, and a new tarp for our desert camping next winter.  Found it on Craigslist.  Cost me $30.00.  Only the best for our desert trip!
