I found this photo from August 1988 in my studio, quite a bit worse for wear.  (Those dang birds!)  It shows the main part of the studio in work.  It's got a floor and -- I'd guess -- a roof, but no walls yet.  I remember this being taken.  It was a wonderful August afternoon, everything was lush and rich, and I felt like a King!

Thursday, July 09, 2015 'IN THE BLAST ZONE' Activists use disaster's anniversary to  call attention to oil trains

Excerpts: A handful of Skagit County residents concerned about oil train traffic organized  a series of events this week as part of a larger campaign called Stop Oil Trains  Week of Action.  BNSF Railway lines that carry crude oil from North Dakota's Bakken region run  north to south through the county, and west from Mount Vernon and Burlington  to Anacortes. About 15,500 residents in Mount Vernon and Burlington are in the  blast zone . . .

Its dark and lonely in Charles's studio at Cain's Lake. Only empty beer bottles and mouse turds. No cigars. Even the usually boisterous paintings are muted.

I have discovered that Ornette Coleman stirs up the bats in my studio even at noon on a hot summer day.

Cain's Lake

I am almost finished with this one. Just a lot of tidying up to do.  I understand why artists hire assistants now!  And I keep thinking that I need to add a labyrinth or arabesque to the lime green. Who knows?

Great News: Lori is Back in the Saddle!

This was me on Hotwire yesterday up in Everson. Out first official show in I dont know how long. Hot but fun.  Hotwire loved it but I wouldn't let him go as fast as he wanted.  If I did I think I would have been a human lawn dart.   Now I have to get back in shape so we can go faster!

Amir and Inela's Anniversary

Inela writes: 

Ah, that Amir's job, this is just another special day stolen from us because of super ideas by owner of that company, huh.

How are you? How is everyone? Grandchildren?

Parenting? Amir goes to work, and I am the everything else in the house :).  In the fall Amir start with school again and me my accounting agency :).

...and I have one news..Mak speaks english a lot, so you will understand him probably better then me :), go to sport and swimming too.
